Vogue April 2011 : Rihanna

LIVING OUT LOUD       Even though i dont like her cover picture, i love the article by Jonathan Van Meter. Rih Rih definitely opened up to him. She talked openly about family, music and her personal life. She goes on to explain her entire journey and how her music reflects certain times in her life. I think all her fans will respect how much she has opened up, wanting everyone to know more about the real her and not just what is perceived of her. i'm no #1 fan but she has certainly gained my respect for her realness in this article. photographed by Annie Leibovitz

"...The pop icons nowadays are very fearless, unapologetic, edgy, and it's a lot for people to swallow sometimes. Because people still think pop star equals role model, but it's almost impossible to walk that line...I can only live my life for me. I definitely want to help and teach little girls whenever I can, but then there is the character that I have to play in my videos to tell stories...that aren't necessarily what I stand for in real life. But it's hard to differentiate that sometimes."

"The minute I discovered that freedom and started toying with it, I loved it so much that it felt real for the first time. When something feels real, you don't make any apologies for it. When it feels good to you, nothing else matters. Everything else is just noise."

Never search for love. Let it come to you. When that time comes, I'm sure it'll be true.
